“When you really want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it.” – Paulo Coelho
Lately I’ve been looking over my “30 Things Challenge” list and wondering how I was going to get through everything, especially from a financial aspect. For example, #5. “Take the 30 day Bikram Yoga challenge” sounds great, until you consider that most yoga classes are $10/class…and 30 classes would wind up being a whopping $300. Taking classes, doing adventures and going on out-of-city and even out-of-country trips can all put a dent in a wallet….But, as per usual, things are working out for me. This weekend I did #23. “Take a dance class” for FREE. The International Dance Academy Hollywood had a new Modern Dance class that you could check out to see if your style fit with the new instructor…I took my Little (Big Bro, Big Sis…#9. Find a charitable organization and volunteer at least once a month) and we had a blast. We also had a chance to do #26. “Take a Hollywood tour” afterwards. While I did have to pay for this one, the guy gave me a big discount (or so he said) so that at least made me feel better lol. THEN, today I learned about a website called www.udemy.com, and realized how I can do #10. “Take a photography class” for free as well. Things are looking up, and I’m very excited about working my way through my list. I still have quite a way to go, but I feel great about the journey.
It’s not always about knowing how you’re going to do what you want to do….many times it’s just a matter of deciding you’re going to do it and taking the leap. A wise man once said, “Faith is taking the first step even when you don’t see the whole staircase.” (Martin Luther King, Jr.)
